Simon Cowell with members of One DirectionSimon Cowell thinks One Direction will probably break up "eventually."

The boy band were put together on the media mogul's talent show The X Factor in 2010, and he has suggested while they are "really enjoying" being a group, he wouldn't be too surprised if the five members - Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne - wanted to go solo in the future.

"Eventually they probably will split up and maybe want to have their own careers. The choice is theirs, we've got the opportunity to do both. But from what I hear, they're really enjoying what they're doing. We don't feel there's anything wrong. They're getting more time off, I hope they stay a band for a long time," he told Billboard.

Fans will be hoping the "Story of My Life" hitmakers don't decide to go their separate ways - and Harry has previously claimed they want to keep singing together "for a long time." He recently said, "I think we're just so busy at the moment that there's no way we would have time anyway, but I think we just have so much fun, doing this and we want to all be doing this for a long time. So I just think we'll keep working hard and having fun and see what happens."

Mitch and Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse's father would never allow a biopic to be made.

Mitch Winehouse has shot down ideas of a movie to be made about his late daughter - who died of alcohol poisoning in 2007 - but he would like a concert to be arranged in memory of the "Valerie" singer.

"I don't really want to do a biopic. A concert would be amazing, but it's actually getting it together with the [record label]. It sounds great in theory, but in practice it's not so easy. We are talking about it though," he said.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has vowed not to follow in the footsteps of the "Body And Soul" hitmaker - who died at the age of 27 - and is determined to curb her drug use and wild behaviour so she doesn't die young. "I want to live and I want my fans to live. I don't want them to torture themselves in the way I have. I want to show people that I will last past 27 and I will last longer, and so will you," she previously said.

Lady GagaLady Gaga's ARTPOP album may have already dropped earlier this month, but the singer-turned-fashion adventuress is far from finishing promotional work for it, as evidenced by a new short film she released yesterday.

Simply titled "An ARTPOP Film Starring LADY GAGA," the video was directed by famed fashion photographers Inez and Vinoodh.

"This album is a celebration. My pain exploding in electronic music, it’s heavy but after I listen to it I feel happy again, I feel lighter," Gaga's voice narrates, followed by a slow-motion shot of her in a white veil and short, white dress walking towards the camera as she waves like a beauty queen as the lights flash on her imitating paparazzi cameras.

The rest of Gaga's looks (which you can see after the jump!) vary from one extreme to another as she's nude (her modesty covered by strategically-placed dirt and moss) resembling an earthy goddess one moment and then sporting a wig that obscures her face so much that all you can see is her exaggerated teeth grill (first seen when she walked the red carpet at this year's YouTube Awards).

EminemEminem struggled to perform sober after quitting drugs and alcohol.

The 41-year-old rapper - who was hospitalized after a suspected methadone overdose in 2007 - sought the help of a rehab counselor in April 2008 and admitted his heavy drinking and substance abuse left him confused about how to "connect" with an audience.

"I was so trapped in my own head. I think that back then it was so big in my head, it was like, 'f**k man' let me take this and drink this and get through it as opposed to going out there and actually being able to see the people and connect with the crowd and have fun with it," he said, speaking to Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1.

However, the "Berzerk" star eventually adapted to his sober state and was able to perform to audiences that he could "actually see."

Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus

Demi Lovato thinks Miley Cyrus' voice is overshadowed by her controversial behavior.

The X Factor judge thinks 20-year-old Miley is a genuine talent but people only focus on her twerking. She offered support for her fellow former Disney star and told Katie Couric on her talk show, "I think she knows what she's doing. A lot of artists take that route of shock value and that's totally fine and that's great, but I think that she has such an incredible voice that's overshadowed by some of the things she's doing... You know it's her journey, she's having fun, she's being who she is and will always love her."

Katy Perry has unveiled the new video for "Unconditionally." The 29-year-old star - who is currently in a relationship with guitarist John Mayer - released the clip for the second single from her third studio album Prism today.

The brunette beauty worked with Brent Bonacorso on the video, which includes scenes showing her crouching in the snow, standing alone in the centre of a room full of people, wearing period drama-style clothing and even a scene where she holds a brown owl. Katy is also hit by a car in a dramatic scene, which is meant to show her enduring physical pain as a metaphor for unconditional love.

Chris MartinChris Martin disguised himself as a skeleton to DJ at an Arcade Fire show.

Concert-goers were completely unaware the Coldplay frontman was in the fancy dress outfit spinning records at the band's show at London's Roundhouse earlier this month.

Speaking about the gig - in which fans were asked to attend in either formal wear or fancy dress - frontman Win Butler told BBC Radio 2, "[Chris] was out at the DJ booth with me the other night wearing a skull mask. It was pretty cool. He was the hype man, he's an amazing hype man." When quizzed as to whether the audience recognized Chris, the "After-Life" singer replied ,"I don't think so."

Win also hinted Arcade Fire will be appearing at UK festivals next summer, but remained tight lipped as to which events they would perform at, teasing "get your wellies ready" and saying he had recently bought his six-month-old son his first pair of wellington boots in preparation for the festival season.

MadonnaMadonna has topped Forbes' list of highest-paid musicians.

The 55-year-old singer is still the queen of pop according to the magazine, earning $125 million from June 2012 to May 2013 thanks to her sell-out MDMA Tour, miles ahead of her nearest rival Lady Gaga, who raked in $80 million. Rockers Bon Jovi and country singer Toby Keith were next, with Coldplay coming in fifth place.

Despite lackluster sales of her latest album, Madonna made her fortune from fans paying $100 a ticket to see her tour - which grossed $305 million - as well as from merchandise sales, a clothing line, fragrance and investments in companies like Vita Coco. This comes as little surprise, since Madonna had already been crowned the world's highest-earning celebrity by Forbes in August, with filmmaker Steven Spielberg, author E.L. James, radio personality Howard Stern and X Factor boss Simon Cowell rounding out the top five.

However, the magazine estimates Lady Gaga could easily top the highest-paid musicians list next year because her current earnings were affected by her hip injury, which forced her to cut her Born This Way Ball tour short. Had she completed the tour, she could potentially have made $200 million.

Katy PerryKaty Perry won't hit out at her former lovers in her music.

The "Roar" hitmaker's third album, Prism, deals with her emotional state after her split from ex-husband Russell Brand in 2012, but she insists she tries not to make her former flames look like the bad guy in her tracks.

"Well, I never try to make people out to be villains, too much. There's a lot of empathy in my writing, even if there is pain and sadness. I think I'm not always trying to point the finger. I think on this record, the whole Prism record, it's very self-reflective and you hear that I've kind of gone inside more and looked at where I can make myself better, did a patchwork thing, rather than like 'Screw you. You're crazy. F**k you.'"

Katy - who is now dating John Mayer - still remembers the love she shared with former partners and wouldn't want to discredit it, but prefers to reflect on her own part in the failure of her relationships. "It's really easy when relationships end to be like 'That guy was a f***ing douchebag.' But really if you laid it down, and you saw the whole span of the relationship, you saw that you were in love. You saw the intimate moments, you saw the pain, you saw all the emotions and you have to kind of say 'Well, what responsibility can I take for myself in all of this?'" the 29 year-old said.
